According to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, about 146 million people in the world live with alopecia. This is an autoimmune disorder characterised by partial or full hair loss. Any person at any age can face it.
Marina Zolotova faced that disease in her childhood. However, she perceives challenges in her life not as problems but as opportunities. The disease helped her find herself and change her life completely. Today, Ms. Zolotova is a role model and the source of support and inspiration to millions of women with alopecia.
The project’s goal is to help women with alopecia overcome their inner fears and start living full lives.
Marina Zolotova is the author and first project manager of Alopetianka project.
